OVERVIEW 3500/92-04-01-01 Communication Gateway The 3500/92 Communication Gateway module delivers comprehensive communication functionality, enabling the integration of all rack-monitored parameters and status information with process control and other automation systems. It supports both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial communication interfaces (RS232/RS422/RS485). Additionally, the module facilitates Ethernet-based communication with the 3500 Rack Configuration Software and Data Acquisition Software. The following communication protocols are supported: Modicon Modbus protocol (over serial communication) Modbus/TCP protocol (an adaptation of serial Modbus for TCP/IP Ethernet networks) A proprietary Bently Nevada protocol (used for communication with 3500 Rack Configuration and Data Acquisition Software packages) FEATURES Functional positioning: An important part of the 3500 series machinery protection and monitoring system, responsible for data transmission and system integration.
