Honeywell FSC safety control system is an ESD safety system. Its basic working principle is similar to that of a conventional PLC. It can perform logical and mathematical calculations and has a digital communication port. However, the difference is that the ESD safety system has fault tolerance and fail-safe performance.
SYSTEM HARDWARE AND COMPOSITION
FSC system hardware includes several key components, such as:
CPU Card: responsible for the logical and mathematical calculations of the system, storing system variables and application variables.
Communication Card: Used to communicate with other systems, such as Honeywell's PlantScape system.
I/O Card: responsible for the processing of input and output signals, including digital and analog signals.
Horizontal Bus Driver (HBD): Used for communication on the I/O rack.
